A Beautiful Day is a children’s lift-the-flap book that aims to help combat childhood isolation through educating children on how to be inclusive, as well as providing comfort and insight on how to build stronger self-esteem and emotional security.

This book aims to assist in starting the conversation between children and others about how they are feeling and help normal-ize the differing emotions felt when experiencing isolation.

The characters in the book represent different factors of isolation. The hope is that children will be able to relate to the characters in the book through their own experiences. The book also features a parents and caregivers guide, this information discusses tips on noticing behaviours and helpful ways to support children suffering from isolation.
